Has anyone ever been a substitute teacher? How did you like it? What year was it do you remember? What grades did you teach?

I substitute taught for 13 years. I did every age every grade every subject. I enjoyed it when I first started but I quit because the kids are so undisciplined, I spent over half the class just dealing with those who refused to do as I ask. Parents should sub teach..they will find out how hard teachers have it and maybe start discipling their kids.

I taught computer subjects in Night High School to adults. I loved seeing these adults get better paying jobs.

I was for a while when my grandson was in grade school. So about 2005-2009. I taught all grades until they built the new High School and it was too far away for me to walk there. But when I had a vehicle I drove around to many schools in the area. There were things about it I liked and things I disliked, just like any job. I had to give it up when I got sick. I also tutored at the technical college I went to. But that was only one person at a time in a subject I had taken and scored well in.
