-
Yes it is. I cried sporadically for 6 months after my only Son died in a car crash in California. Before that, I never cried since I was a little boy.
-
Yes it is in my opinion.
-
Of course.
-
yes! of course it is!

I cried at age ten when Granny died. I wasn't that close to her, just saw Mom crying. Now, I can't cry, at fav. aunts memorial, fav. uncle, etc... what is wrong? Did i lose all feeling?

All people have emotions and crying is one. A love one dying is a terrible sadden event in anyone's life. While even some women do not cry outwardly we all show some type of emotions. It is certainly acceptalbe even if a man cries over a loved one at death.
-
It is acceptable for any human being to show loss and grief. It is not only acceptable, it is natural.
-
It is absolutely acceptable. We are all human and we all have feelings, whether we are female or male, we all have the right to express those feelings. If we didnt at least have the ability, we wouldnt BE human.

I'm not sure if I really believe the answers people are giving here. Maybe it really SHOULD be acceptable, that is, ideally. Or maybe not. To tell the truth, I'm not sure. Even if it should be considered acceptable, is it really that way? But more importantly, under what context are you talking about? Maybe some cultures around the world dictate that men ought not to cry even for the death of a loved one. I can swallow that. It's completely understandable that some cultures interpret the ability to hold back expressions of certain emotions, such as grief, as a preliminary to manhood. Other cultures, like mine, are getting increasingly open-minded to new ideas and have strayed far from this antiquated notion of virility; that men CAN cry and still ascertain their manhood. So I don't know what to tell you. Please be more specific next time.

Of course it is!!! Everybody deals with death differently. Some males AND females may never cry at the death of a loved one and some males and females may always cry at the death of a loved one. It really depends on the person.
-
Yes. It is.
-
Yeah, it's acceptable. To me, anyway. I cried when my mother passed away and cried again a few years after that when my father died. How could holding in all that grief be good for anyone?
-
Yes.
-
In my society men are not supposed to weep in public. At my mother's funeral I couldn't stop the tears, but I didn't sob. In private I wept.
-
Yes, it is acceptable, & it is emotionally healthy for a man to cry at the death of a loved one. If he didn't, i would be very concerned a/b that person's mental health.
-
Of course it is!
-
Absolutely.
-
yes, it is... although i think i'm mentally incapable of doing so 100% serious :/
-
are you kidding. your unwell if you dont. crying is totally normal.
-
If it was MY loved one and I felt like crying, I wouldn't care if it was considered acceptable. That would be the last thing on my mind.
-
Yes...there is no shame in that at all.
-
Weather it's acceptable or not shouldn't even be considered. Why shouldn't a man cry over the death of a loved one? He's human. Humans cry when they're sad.
-
What planet are you from?
-
Real men do cry!! If its because of death or about anything that really hurt you....
