  • Ignorance and fear.
  • No, sadly most don't. Most also can't seem to grasp that EVERYONE has the right to fucking marry who the choose, including gay people. Or that they have no place telling a woman that she can or can not abort her baby. Plus many other things At least there are some Christians who don't agree!
  • I understand completely what you're saying, i think it's because the ones that do do bad things cast a bad light on the all. Just because some choose to invoke hatred doesn't mean that they are all bad...People just need to look beyond what everyone else says and see the real people for who they are and not just the bad
  • I guess Spicy Hot pretty much summed it up. Right now the way things are through out the world Islam, and the Muslims are getting a bad rap, just as the Germans, and Japanese, did during WWII. And it's funny in a way, because Christianity is by far not the largest Religion on the planet.
  • Islam is a global religion. They also worship God, even if their approach is on a different path to us as Christians. Their understanding, or our perceived lack there of,is in God's hands, not ours. We are commanded to love our "enemies". We were also enemies of God once, before we were called to understand who and what Jesus was to us. I have friends who even now, are converting Palestinian Arabs to Christ,on the West Bank in Israel, and they are being very well received! We, the USA, cannot be perceived as being at war with these people. Islam didn't fly two jets into the trade centers. Men who claimed to be of that faith did, but they don't speak for all the billions of Islamic people on this planet, many of whom are Americans, and pleased and proud to be so.
  • i don't label CERTAIN muslims as bad..but there are many countries that have "religious rules" that i can't tolerate.. and im not christian..there are things about them i dont tolerate also
  • I am a Christian and I don't hate Muslims. Also, I wouldn't send in a suicide bomber to blow up other Americans and Christians because my Bible don't teach me to do that.
  • This is the same thing a lot of the children of Asatru go through following the Nazi party's usage of Norse symbology to drive the racist fervor of he people. It's the same thing the Serbian and Russian Jews go through, and the gypsies, and the list of scapegoats goes on. They know only what other bigots taught them, or they've heard it all their lives, or they're transferring some repressed trauma, or any other number of things. Fear and hate are universal and they're not going anywhere. The only thing to do is pity those ignorant sods and move on.
  • I'm a Christian and I don't say that. Those Christians are intolerant hypocrites, not the tolerant brethren that Jesus told his followers to be.
  • Most are peaceful...I think were talking about the extremists http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fB8uNwcQB_0
  • I don't see Islam as peaceful at all. How can it be peaceful to lock Christians inside of churches and burn them alive? What about the dedication of Muslim leaders to exterminate every Jew because Allah tells them to. It's not very peaceful to give a 70 year old woman 100 lashes in public for talking to a man she didn't know. I didn't matter that she was only buying bread from him, she violated Muslim Law. How peaceful is it to strap bombs on to retarded people and send them into crowded areas and blow them up? I bet they sing songs of love and peace all day long in the Islamic military camps where they teach 10 year old boys how to kill and teach then that blowing then selves up is the greatest honor. Peaceful , bull.
  • This may be true but turn it on its head .I have also heard some Muslims saying they want to kill all non believers (anyone that is not Muslim) You are talking about extremists and fundamentalists. They are from every religion and walk of life. Hate is spread across all sections of the community
  • I'm a Christian and I am dating a Muslim. He teaches me about the religion all the time, and it's very interesting.
  • I don't label anyone anything based on their religion. Especially before I haven't met them.
  • People who follow Islam are no more tolerant of other religions, you must understand. Their religion and their holy book actively encourage them to wage a war and kill the infidels who will not convert to Islam and believe in the God they call Allah. They call this war a Jihad, which every Muslim must do as a duty. The trouble is too many of them take it seriously. You must understand that Christianity believes in spreading the message of Jesus Christ most peacfully and through service whereas Islam, in contrast, encourages violence and murder to spread their beliefs. I think the few Christians who react the way you have mentioned in your question are very much justified in their apprehension about Muslims.
  • It's a horrid truth though, I have a FABULOUS friend who converted to Islam a few years ago. She didn't change anything but her religion. Now I have met some "Christians" who are down right BAD PEOPLE but because they are Christian that means they're good? It's ridiculous!
  • actually this is the media work to betray islam.islam is the truth from GOD but most people do not know.
  • well, the Qz in my head naw is whay ppl mintion the religion of TERRORIST only if they r muslims and dont even care about it if its not :)
  • everyone sees Islam as the religion that terrorist follow, there for, it most be a horrible religion. What they don't know is that it is a peaceful religion, that condemns violence. People are just too ignorant to see that. One group of people do not justify a religion of billions. I saw this all time: there are extremists in every religion, but nobody should ever look at that religion through the eyes of those extremists. I respect all other religions, and its sad that others cannot
  • Look, christians hate everyone. They blow up abortion clinics. That's not terrorism, in their books. Muslims aren't much better. All those religions from that desert -- Judaism included -- suck.
  • Answer to first question, I don't. Answer to second question, I do. Please formulate better questions next time so as not to make rash assumptions on the ignorant few.
  • YOu might have heard some Christians say that: if they are true believers and not just nominals, then they need to be corrected. I am a Christian and I do not say that all Muslims are bad people. But, at the moment, in the world, most terrorist activities are being perpetrated by Muslims. It is about time that Islam got its act together.
  • If anyone wants me to believe that Islam is a religion of peace, they are going to have to provide proof and supporting evidence, and be very, very persuasive.
  • Okay. Then tell me, why would I be executed simply for setting foot in my own home country, because I am an Apostate? (I used to be Muslim, now am an Atheist) It is not just my home country either. There are several Islamic countries where Apostasy is either a capital crime, or severely punishable in some other way. And the ones in which it is not legally punishable, almost always allow discrimination against Apostates. If you are thinking - "Well those are because of politics, not Islam itself" - Actually, such harsh punishments against Apostasy are recommended throughout the Quran, and the Hadith. . . . What good is "peace" without freedom?
  • These Christians you speak of are most likely "holy rollers". You really can't take what they say seriously.
  • Millions have died in the name of their gods. Not all that peaceful.
  • i'm sure just as many non-christian americans would say that as christian americans. christians shouldn't make generalizations about muslims, and you shouldn't make generalizations about christians. but what if you had said mormon instead of islam?? i'm a christian & the mormons i've known have been great people. unfortunately, i don't believe that being a great person will get anyone to heaven.
  • Most Christians in my experience are the biggest hypocrites in the universe.
  • All religions say they are peaceful. In reality, they have been just the opposite. Millions have been killed in the name of gods. There have been hundreds if not thousands of gods.
  • thou shall not hate.
  • If you can write this question, I know you know the answer deep down. If you are old enough to read, write and use the computer, haven't you met anyone that you can see for yourself is 1) not a Christian and 2) still a good person by now? Okay. Don't you think that anyone who lables someone bad without knowing them is the bad person?
