Not eating a healthy diet - specifically eating animals, and animal products. The body produces cholesterol, and wasn't designed to handle the excess that many take in through animal products. The only thing you eat with cholesterol comes from an animal. I will begrudgingly admit that you can apparently be healthy from eating a small amount of the right kind of meat, but the ethics involved is a different discussion. Have you ever heard of a vegan with arteriosclerosis? Processed meat has been scientifically proven to increase the likelihood of cancer. The environment definitely plays a role in good health, and 18% of greenhouse gasses (more than all forms of transportation combined) comes from the meat industry. Combine the detrimental effects of a meat laden diet with the environmental aspect, and it definitely is in the top few risk factors.
