  • No. You're assuming that trust has something to do with a prenup and it does not. A prenup is done in order so that if at some point the married couple for whatever reason want to get a divorce they will both have a fair settlement. Considering over 50% of couples get a divorce it is a wise thing to do.
  • No. I think people who are unwilling to sign one are lacking trust in the fact that the pre-nuptual contract will never be needed. Thus, the people are unwilling to give each other the security of knowing that everything will be handled fine if the relationship ends. If they were so sure the relationship would never end, they would be willing to give assurance on what would happen should the relationship end.

  • I would hope not. I would think that with divorce rates as high as they are, it would make the couple feel more confident about their future. They could potentially have more comfort in knowning that they are getting married for love not their things.
