If you would normally wear a bikini then no, if you wouldn't then yes.

They will judge you, it is uncool to the family. It makes you appear confortable with your body, and old people don't like that lol. There is nothing wrong with it....assuming you are actually swimming right lol.

This one is a difficult one. I am very curvy for my height and my girlfriends family always says I am "her friend" but I still make sure to cover up around them out of respect. I wear my bikini top but I am busty so I have to get a large size but it still looks like I am popping out so depending on who is there I dress appropriately and I make sure to wear surf shorts to cover up my behind because the damn thing won't fit into any kind of bottoms. If its a big family party then I take a tank top to wear. Families tend to judge and assume that since you are wearing a little bathing suit that you are a slut or that you are showing off. The older ones make a big deal and talk trash. SO to save my girlfriend the grief I just cover myself up. Anywhere else... its ok but families view things differently.
