  • If your water is turning green during electrolysis, then you are using copper for electrodes, right? The green is copper ions and cupric oxide in solution. It probably won't harm you in small quantities. It will, however, be bacteria free (due to the antimicrobial effects of copper. Those antimicrobial effects might just wreak havoc with your GI tract if you drink too much....
