Where can i go mushroom hunting in Kansas? Huh where?
-
I go every year. There are a huge number of poisonous mushrooms in the US. Don't ever go unless you are with an experienced mushroom hunter as most of these poisonous varieties are extremely dangerous.
-
Some do, but they have to know exactly which varieties are edible and which are poisonous. We tend to be an overly cautious lot and let the grocers make the selection for us!
-
why do you assume we don't? I have a friend that can actually smell chantrelles and then dig for them. If you ever went looking for chantrelles, you know they are sometimes hard to locate. in any case, there are plenty of people who do it in the US. just because it is not going to grab top headlines over pictures of Britney's crotch does not mean it does not exist.
-
Most everyone in these parts hunt mushrooms.
-
we do go mushroom hunting - its just for the phychodelic kind

I used to when I lived in California. I would go out all the time either alone or with friends, and I/We would pick psilocybin mushies and eat them, and then talk to nature and discover the secrets of life while we tripped balls around the forest.
-
They do where I live in the mid west.
-
Because we grow them in our houses. At least I do...
-
i only pick mushrooms when i go to the grocery store lol!

Too many toadstools..not enough mushrooms. :) Happy Friday. Then there is the problem of poisonous mushrooms....:(

I love mushroom hunting. Morels in the spring, puffballs and oyster mushrooms in the fall. Nummy.
