• Try adding a little more mixture to each cup cake case, they should rise in the middle and crack a little, also maybe turning the heat up at the first stage of baking, then lower it again so as not to burn your cake, HTH, Gemma.
  • Add a little baking powder which will make them rise more.
  • Fill the cup to 3/4 instead of half like it says in some recipes also an extra pinch of baking powder will help it rise more, this will help it become more rounded instead of flat, but the actual peak is created by the icing.
