  • Short answer, self burned CDs the coating will crack at about 40 below. But the store bought CDs don't seem to have a problem. I have keep CDs in my car for a number of years. I have more problems with the summer than the winter though.
  • I think the worst problem is large variations in temperature actually, as this will cause the material to contract and expand a lot of times, thus causing fatigue in the material.
  • It isn't doing mine any harm, sitting in my van. This is true both for burned and commercial CDs. Given that the temperature hasn't climbed over 0 F in the last month and had dropped to almost -40, my experience would say "no".
  • Ur cd will not be damaged by cold season
