I believe children can receive SS Benefits until 21 if they are in college. I would have said no to your question if I had not learned of a parent receiving benefits from deceased daughts SS. Call your local office.

No, the benefits are separate for each person, however, there is a total family limit. If the family limit was reached when the older child was receiving benefits, and that changes, the benefits might be increased.
