I can't pick out an individual book, but I really like the Diskworld Series by Terry Pratchett. Fantasy with humor, social commentary and satire.

I must have read well over ten thousand books in my lifetime, so its very difficult to pick just one, but certainly ONE of my favorites would be The Web of Life, by Fritjof Capra. It can be tough going in places, because Capra is trying to get across some really difficult concepts, but it's well worth the struggle!

I couldn't put down I Am Legend, too bad it was pretty short. I'm currently reading Starship Troopers (real good so far) and in desperate search for Ishmael.
