  • If I were your mom NOTHING would convince me.
  • Maybe if you convince her that you'll otherwise have it done unprofessionally? But personally I hope mom wins this argument. Nose piercing is yucky and prone to getting nasty infections.
  • She'll never let you do it, no matter what you say. Trust me, Jenna....it will never happen.
  • eeew, don't...just don't
  • Give it up. There is no professional future in having your nose pierced. Who would pay you? And how often could you get it done.
  • From your Profile Image I must assume you are a young man. From your profile name and question I must assume that you are a young lady. If you are a man I would advise you against it under any circumstance. If you are a young lady please read on: Your question implies that you and your mom are agreed to the piercing of your nose. Your mother only wants to get it done the traditional way and you want it done by a qualified surgeon. It should be easy to convince your mom that a professional surgeon does a better job without any pain for you. I do not see why your mom should have any problem with that. But get the piercing done only if you intend to wear a nose ring all your life. It is a matter of your choice.
  • Chloroform.
  • i have one and as far as piercings go its quite subtle, if you're going to get one I think this is a good place. If you have it done at home its likely it will get infected and leave you with ugly ramifications. professionally, its not only much much safer but inexpensive, and they'll often provide you with a stud or ring. if she doesn't want you to have it at all though is she gonna let you keep it?
  • hey sorry bout all the other answers heres how i convinced my mom to let me get an industrial. drop the fact that you want one into conversation once in awhile to test the water once she stops saying no move on to finding pictures of people with the piercing that look good with it keep the piercing subtle and try to keep other piercings out of the picture to make sure she knows(or thinks) that letting you get the one little piercing wont be a green light to go ape shit with it(sorry about my language)once you can get her to see the beauty in the little sparkle do some research on the procedure and aftercare to let het know your serious and are going to take care of it and health issues the things parents worry about the most point out how many professions may discriminate against alot of other piercings but small nostril piercings are common on doctors lawyers and many other professional people who make lots of money so employment wont be a big issue also look into diffrent studios near by get prices ask about their autoclave and the last time they did a spore test and find a place that is clean and makes you comfortable and take your mom there to show her all the diffrent jewelry for your piercing(nose screws are the best for new piercings/stay away from nose bones) if you dont rush the topic and all goes well you'll get the go ahead and you never know she may even get one. if all else fails you can wait till your 18/move out to get it
  • Keep asking until you turn 18
