    It's my buddy Bob... Male oysters send their sperm out into the water and female oysters release eggs. Amazingly, they both do this at the same time and the two meet and the eggs get fertilized. Baby oysters swim free for quite a while and then they get heavy and tired and think it's time to settle down so they find a nice bit of rock and glue themselves to it and stay there for the rest of their lives.
