  • No. I don't give money to homeless people. I think someone who has found an excuse not to work shouldn't be rewarded.
  • No. I have to earn my living. So should everyone else. I also give to organizations that help the homeless, which are very helpful to those who utilize them. If someone chooses not to accept offered help, my obligation is over.
  • I would give him money,no because of her/his sign.It is a good spiritual thing to do,to help the needy.
  • No.. but I have given money to a homeless man with a sign that read.. "Father killed by ninjas.. need money for karate lessons." (No Joke)
  • I always give money to panhandlers and tell them specifically to buy booze. I'm not kidding.
  • I would not give cash to a homeless person. I will feed them and I will help them if I see they are sick getting them the help they need but I would never give money.
  • just because someone believes in God, doesn't mean they don't need help so I would but I have been homeless and I know what it's like. If they choose to buy alcohol, they have to live with that decision. I just do what I feel is right.
  • I usually do give money but if the sigh said that I would suggest he ask God.
  • if he feels like working for God, that is fine with me.
  • i never give money to homeless people. i sometimes buy them a burger or a sandwich if there is a shop nearby but never money. not all homeless people go and buy drugs and booze but a lot do so i dont take the risk. when i see some bum picking up a manky cigarette butt from the ground i offer them a full cigarette. on the other hand, i used to have a tshirt from tshirthell.com that said "Why yes I do have lots of change, you homeless piece of shit, thanks for asking."
  • Well I don't believe in God, but I used to be Catholic and I remember something about working hard on earth and earning your keep honestly, working to your potential, etc. So no, I would not give money directly to a homeless person. I would readily donate time and/or money to a licensed charity that helps these people and administers the money properly.
  • sure, but on the dollar bills that i hand him i would write "god helps those who help themselves" i'm not going to tell him how to do it but at least he can get something out of what i hand him
  • I'd say (in thunder) "You're fired!"
  • My limit is 25 cents. Why? 25 cents is not going to buy this person drugs or alcohol. Angels are among us and 25 cents is not going to kill me. I know what you are thinking.....if all of us gave this person 25 cents, he could buy a new car. This is true. but, like the majority of other answers, no one would donate, so my 25 cents will not be very helpful, alone.
  • I would give him a sandwich and tell him to get a job at a church.
  • I was homeless for a year and living with the homeless. The ones that bum money only want it for booze. I never drank, i was happy for some food. I watched my buddies eat from dumpsters. I would only eat from grocery store dumpsters, they threw out expired food. Most of the money i got, i found on the parking lots of stores, or quarters left in carts. I never bummed money. I tried to get a job, but businesses do not hire people that have no address, most people don't understand that. I would sweep the floor of a convenient store for a sub everyday. One day there was a man in the store that offered me a place to stay if i cleaned it up, i took it. It was a house that he rented. I finally got a job since i claimed it to be my address. After i got the place cleaned up, the man let me rent it from him for a year cheap. I can't thank him enough for getting me back on my feet.
  • Sure, if I have some change to give to him. It's really none of my concern, or business, what he does, or doesn't do. Maybe he's too screwed in the head to stand on his own two feet, or if he isn't, he knows what he's getting into and it's nobody's job to start giving him the moral. Those who feel otherwise aren't forced to give him anything, either.
  • Yes I would. If I have conditions attached to money I give, I'll let you know, in the mean time, no strings attached yes. I would be happy to give a homeless man some money. I wish I could give him a house.
  • I would help because I am not an arbiter of another's lifestyle or morality.
  • I would say..."Tell god you need a raise!"
  • In my opinion that says that the man refuses to work, even though he is most likely trying to appeal to religious people. However, whether I give to him or not is not determined by his sign.
  • not give god will so why should we
  • No...he is putting restrictions on himself. If he were serious, he would know that any work he does for others is doing it for God..as we help one another in this world, we are doing God's work. :)
  • I might, but not until I had a discussion about the real meaning of his sign. I think he misunderstands God if he is physically and mentally able to work and doesn't.
  • i don't like giving money to homeless people because i never think it gets used for good i only would volunteer work cause i know their using the place to eat, sleep, etc besides there is alot of crackheads were i'm from and that's all they do is buy crack
  • No, he can't be that hungry if he can pick and choose.
  • yes, God still loves him so I have to as well
  • Absolutely. Anybody refusing to work for anything but a character in a very old book, NEEDS monetary help.
  • Nope..he needs to let aside pride and do something for his own livelihood.
  • No way....
  • No, I wouldn't give him money... but if I had the time I would run and get him some food...
  • Tell him to kill himself to become employed. I think the devil pays more anyway.
  • No. Obviously he has no issues if he reports to the big man...
  • No..I'd say, "Then get to work!"
  • Nope. I would tell him to collect cans like all other homeless people. I would offer him a refrigerator box, had I recently purchased a new Kenmore.
  • no then let him get the money from god too.
  • Why would I give money to him? He obviously thinks he doesn't need any. Besides, he'll only work for God, so let God give him money (bitch gonna be waiting a while on that miracle).
  • No but i'd give him a tip: Better start workin' bitch!
  • Religious tardery aside, I wouldn't give him money because I don't have any to spare.
  • No I would tell him to go and get a bleepin job and life.
  • Nope - let his employer pay his wages....
  • No, I wouldn't because basically the scriptures says if you don't work you don't eat. On the other hand if his sign would read disabled can't work for anyone but God that would be a different matter.
  • Nope. If he had so much faith in god then i'l let 'god' help him out.
  • Nope. If he wanted to work for God he certainly could. I don't think they actually turn away those who want to be priests anyways. :p
  • I am not god's assistant. Let Him sign the paychecks himself.
  • No, he has found a way to exploit those who have strong religious beliefs...A desperate person will do just about anything in order to eat and that goes for homeless people just as well even if the guy holding the sign does not believe in God...I guess he has got himself a good thing going...
  • No I wouldn't. But I would say "Next time you are the pastor, keep your hands off the kids pervert"
  • maybe someone should hire them and tell them theyre god
  • I have given money to folks but never more than $2 - $3........if someone said THAT to me, I'd tell him to go to a damn church and see what THEY"ll give him!! probably not much....and if you're gonna work 'for God' then why the hell are you panhandling the public in the first place!?!?!?
