I have. I'm registered for them to take the lot... if any of it is of any use by then. There seems to be a lot of people who will donate everything but the eyes, seems kinda strange to me. I actually think the whole system should be the other way round. You should automatically be considered a donor, unless you sign to opt out.

I am, I mean what the hell, like I'm using them anymore?
-
yes why not help a person by my death seems like an extra point in my case for admittance to heaven. a longshot as it is
-
I didn't because they sometimes keep the donor on life support until it's convenient for them to harvest the organs. I know it's selfish but I don't care, I don't want to be kept alive like that. Fortunately for those who might potentially need my organs, they're all pretty much shot anyway, so they're better off without my organs, and I get to die when it's time for me to die and not at someone else's convenience.

I am a donor. I am dead what do I need them for. Millions of people die weekly waiting on organs that they don't get. People assume if you are an organ donor, the MD's will not try to save your life..they will just let u go to harvest the organs. Most people don't have any idea how that works..and how hard it is to declare a person deceased. So, I say take everything that is needed.
-
Sure. I'm 67 and my organs are old, but they still work!
-
I've been an organ donor for years. Why? I sure won't need any of my organs when I'm dead, so let someone benefit from them.
-
I'm signed up. I'm willing to take them if I need them. Why shouldn't I be willing to give them when I don't?
-
Long ago. It's a little something I can do to add so much happiness to lives of others.
-
Yeah. I wont need my organs when i'm dead. Its just a shame I cant donate handsome rugged good looks lol.
-
I have, with a small notation to make sure I'm dead first.I signed up because I don't think I'll need those parts when I'm gone.
-
yes I have
-
Everything...
-
I did many years ago, they can have what they want;0)
-
I'll let them take whatever they want for people in need and research. Just hurry up and bury the rest.
-
Yes, I am a potential donor for every part they can use.
-
yes. All my life I have made it a goal to help others and that will not stop with my death. I am donating any organs that are usable (which may not be many) but too many people die daily due to lack of organs so I will donate mine
-
I'm a multidonor, they will take anything they can use!
-
Yes, and like many others here, they take whatever they can use. Unfortunately, that probably won't be much, but they are welcome to it.
-
My toenails.
-
I have. I'd donate anything but my brain. I don't want some mad scientist putting my brain in a robot body and having it go crazy. You can call it selfish, but I just don't want to be remembered that way.
-
My sense of humor.
-
They can have anything that is still useful when I fall over dead. I wont need it anyway!
-
Hell, yeah! It's not like I'm going to be using them anymore.
-
No. I feel that my organs are a gift from God and I don't want anyone else to have them.
-
Yeppers.
-
I don't know why someone would want them but yes.
-
Yes. I figure someone will need my organs in the end. If i'm not using them why can't somebody else have them? My father thinks its a bad decision on my part, saying they will not do as much should i be in critical condition. I disagree with him on that, i figure their job is to save lives, they'd be hypocrites to purposely kill someone for that reason. Too many lawsuits. I wonder though. If you have had sex with a man, being a man, you cannot give blood. Is the same true for organ donation?
-
no. I was born with all organs, I keep them when I go. who's to say we are not walking around without a limb in the after life? lol. just me.
-
Yes, the quintessential reasoning is because we won't need them when we are dead. They will just go in the dirt and rot, why not use them for someone else living or for research.
-
Oh yeah, I hope they go to good use too!
-
I'm not, purely for the reason that I keep forgetting to organise it. I will eventually.
-
I will be donating my body to science.....just thinking of the looks on those med students faces when they roll my cadaver out is enough to make me smile.....a few well placed tattoos before I go may earn some extra giggles
-
Nope - it came in with me and it's leaving with me. I know it's selfish, but unless my family needs a kidney, I'm not voluntarily giving them out. I guess that's a little strange, but I don't want anyone using my organs without my direct knowledge...and certainly not strangers. I'm generous with everything else though. Strange.
-
I am, because when I got my license I thought "if anything should happen to me then someone else can benefit." Apparently that's also when my altruism ended, because now I worry about my organs being separated from my body. I'm okay with the thought of one of my kidneys being gone, but the eyes really bother me. (Okay, so the concern might just be the result of my intense phobia of my own death....)
-
Sure am.
