  • Ohio is an important state in EVERY presidential election, not just this one. it is one of the highest populated states, and is fairly evenly divided between republicans and democrats. The other highly populated states tend to heavily favor one side or the other (California, for instances is seldom an important state, even though they are the most populated state, since they have almost always been for the democrats).
