Well, Maui, HI was gorgeous! And Osaka and Tokya, Japan were gorgeous too. The gardens there were just amazing, and everyone keeps their place clean. Not just their yards and stuff, but little Oba-San's outside sweeping the sidewalks in the middle of Tokyo. Maui was gorgeous for obvious reasons- beaches for miles, flowers, ocean. Tokyo was beautiful beacuse it was taken care of. There was pride in their country, and they made sure people knew it. Though the Japanese Gardens were amazing!

Depends on what you ascribe to as "beautiful". Karnak on the Nile in Egypt is beautiful as is the Valley of Kings. The castles of North Yorkshire are beautiful as is a monument like the Aga Khan's or the Red Fort and Taj in Agra. I've been around the planet. A circumnavigation. There is no "best" yet. They're all great but if I had to choose where I'd like to go back to based on my experience there and how I interpreted everything......then all. They're all beautiful, from the sunset on an Egyptian desert to a sunrise in Singapore. You get what you take away from the experience. Start with an open mind and a little knowledge of the area you'll have a blast wherever you go.

I've been travelling a lot with the family. Egypt, the UK, France, India, South Africa, Singapore, Dubai, Australia (Home), Kenya (Previous home). Kenya (My birth country) was just great with all the wildlife reserves and beautiful scenery. South Africa was amazing, and Egypt was awesome too. But like they say, no place like home!

Eagle Plains, Yukon Territories, Canada(mid summer). During the short Arctic summer, the plants grow so fast, you can watch them get taller !!! The sun just goes in circles and does NOT set at all !!! and every few hours, a different type of flower grows a ½ inch above the others, blooms, and the whole visible plains changes colour !!!

That is one of the most difficult questions to answer--not because I have not been exposed to many beautiful places in the world but because it is the exact moment in time that makes a place beautiful for me. As an example, I can recall a sunset on a remote Maui beach and the most calm coming over me as I watched it. I returned a year later and the weather was wet & chilly and windy and it did not have the same charm. I'd have to say overall, however, the South Pacific is gorgeous.

I've done been to a lot of places and seen many wonderfull things. I've climbed small mountains and had great views, I've swam in oceans, I've swam next to wild dolphins, slept in snow caves, spent more than my share of time in jungles and rain forests, I've seen my share. I have to say the most beautiful place I've been to, is at home with my wife, cats and dog. There is nothing as wonderfull as getting home.

I have travelled most of the continental US and the MOST beautiful place I have been would have to be the Oregon coast. my sister and I drove south on 101 for the entire length of Oregon and savored every moment. It's hard to select one particular place, my answer might be different on any given day. What springs to mind is perhaps not the most picturesque (spl) or beautiful, but the most at peace I have ever felt was sitting on top of a rock at a random small lake along the Tiago Pass in California. I have seen many places that are awe-inspiring and far more spectacular, but that really does stick out for me.

Many ways to answer this question. I have visited desert areas with my girlfriend (later my wife) and found the experience to have been beautiful. I have visited beautiful, scenic locations with companions that completely spoiled the experience for me. I know what you're looking for and as an answer I would say Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, just South of Yellowstone. To me that entire area is fantastically beautiful, and I've enjoyed it no matter the companion. But to truly enjoy a place I believe it helps to have your lover by your side. Then almost anyplace is great.
