  • Pigeons and Mourning doves are closely related animals. It will be difficult if not impossible to selectively discourage them from being there if both species are present together. If there is a time of year where the Mourning doves are away you could discourage the pigeons from being there. If it is hospitable by the time the doves return they may settle there. It is also possible that the doves come there because they see the pigeons and therefore decide it to be a safe place to stop.
  • Doves are pigeons so there is no way to keep one bird in and the other out. They eat the same things and are about the same size. Sorry.
  • Call 911 and declare the pigeons illegals!
  • Shoot the pigeons.
