Where do you get that idea from? There are more religious God Fearing people on earth today than at any time prior in history. And unlike other periods in history, the dark periods, religion is not 'forced' on a good number of those who freely accept it and follow it and worship God and love God because they want to - not because a centralized religious power forced them on pain of death.
-
Why do you think that? There are Christians, who love god. There are Muslims, who love god (but a different god). There are Hindus, who love many different gods. There are atheists who don´t believe in god. There are agnostics who don´t know what to believe. Where are those who hate god?
-
It is not the hating of a deity,it is that the superstitions surrounding beliefs in god are falling away.Times change, people change and the old fear tactics of hell etc. that religious organizations use are not listened to any more.
-
The numbers of believers are up, but the number of non-believers are also up. The internet has allowed for more vocalization of non-believers. Their voice seems louder. Also, the depth of belief of the pool of believers is getting shallower and that allows the voice of the non-believers sound louder because not as many people are shouting back.
-
We don't hate god, he's cool, just his fan club.
-
I think that there is a veil of darkness over their minds and hearts, and cant see him yet. God can reveal himself at any time to anyone. It could be he knocked on the door of their heart already and they said no. God is a gentleman and never pushes his will on those who dont respond. He is loving and will give life to all those who repond to his love.

I don't think it's the God per say what this generation "hates". In fact, I don't believe is hatred. It's rebellion against all the damn lies that has beeen so viciously and unscrupulously pervaded throughout society, and they beging to see--as I did at the age of 17--something quite different which contradicts every dogmatic rule or teaching in which they've been braught up. Before we get on our people's ass how about if we(society) take a long look at our own!
-
Maybe it's not so much people hate god but hate the man made religious idea of who he is. If there is a god I don't hate him, but I don't necessarily believe in him since I have no proof of his existence. BUT if he does exist I think he is so much more than the stupid ideas we have come up with and teach.
-
I think it's more of a hate against disinformation and nonsensical beliefs.
-
I don't think that "this generation" hates God at all. It is a mistake to confuse dislike, distaste and contempt for organized religion, false prophets and those who lie in the name of God for anyone's actual feelings toward God. To whom are you referring when you say "this generation" and why do you feel this way?
-
Which god? You do fail to specify which god this generation supposedly hates so much. Who is doing the hating? Where do you see it? I see those that disagree with some or all religions. I see those that deny some or all deities. The only people I've seen who actually hate any deity are Christians and Muslims, who hate Satan, and Devil Worshippers, who hate Yahweh. Of course, Christians don't see Satan as a deity, but others do.
-
Just because someone doesn't believe something, it doesn't make they hate it. To you, it may be the same thing but to the rest of the world, it's not
-
who said hate
-
Can't hate that which doesn't exist.
-
You think this generation hates God? How do you think the people during the Crusades, witch hunts, inquisition, etc, felt about god?
-
For those that hate God, they feel he hasn't helped them personally or has punished them. It's easier to hate than to just accept or work around obstacles. They don't understand that God does really care about mankind and has plans on restoring peace to the earth.

A lack of information or the wrong information. Many think God is something he is not. It is not really their fault because we live in such a world where religious information is misinterpreted from false testimonials. Many hate because they think how could someone so powerful allow pain and suffering to so many innocent people. They do not look at the entire picture of the reason things are like they are. Unable to understand that his intervention goes against the free will of being human. Most of the pain and suffering comes by our own hands and or our free willed decisions. They would not place a child in the middle of the freeway thinking the child will be safe. But they do not see that placing a child on the shores of the ocean where hurricane hit as a possible danger. People suffer and die not because God ignores them or wishes them harm. He wants man to protect that which is his because he gave man the ability to do so. Then we have those that says what about the innocent little girl who is dying of cancer? God did not plague the world with cancer or give it to the child. Through mans choices of his free will created these problems. We have a book that is there to help us see how evil took over the pure and what could have been done to prevent it but many choose not to read it for what it is. It is there to help us make decisions not to control us in to mindless drones. Man took it upon himself to form religions which did nothing but harm the work of God. They twist the stories that were given as a help and made it a controlled device. Every story in the Bible is a story we all can relate to but we fail to see the message it suppose to bring. For it is not the stories but the message that is important. If people would read the Bible using what they see in life they can see how God wants us to live not how we either do it of suffer for our sins. For example God created man in his image. Many see this as a way to make God more of a human form. But it does not say God made man in God's image but rather man in his own image. Which means God made man and his image is not like that of any other creature. This also means that man (human) can not be changed even if man breeds with any other creature. Example two about the fruit of good and evil is a story about disobedience and being punished for not following directions. The story reads as harsh as a punishment can be, to give a firm message. We can relate to this by telling our children. Do not touch fire or you will get burned. Eve like a child learning; God says do not eat or your going to die. Did eve drop dead? No, just like not every child who touches fire gets burned. The story is to inform us that when good advice is given it is best to listen or suffer the consequences. People hate that which they do not understand and religion is the top of the list of things misunderstood.

I don't think this generation hates god. Perhaps, this generation is aware of the non-existence of god and that is translated by the ignorant into 'hate' - One cannot hate that which does not exist
-
Disbelief is a little different than hate....heh, well, I would say that this generation is just growing up in a more enlightened age.
-
Please God, save me from Your followers!
-
It's called throwing the baby out with the bathwater. They don't see God, only His followers. And sadly, most Christians aren't very Christ-like.
-
Higher education is negatively correlated with religious belief.
-
we do not hate god we think he does not exist , that is all how can we hate something . that is non existent?
-
His ambassadors have told me and others like me that he hates us. I don’t think that is true, but what is true is God needs a new representation!
-
God represents submission, abstinence, controlled thinking, and conformity. People are realizing that God is not real and there is no reason to uphold traditions that are not fun, and are instead full of rules, and hopes of a better afterlife that put a mask of happiness on their faces. People would rather be real instead of acting a certain way and enjoy life while we have it instead of waiting until it's too late. I am proud of this generation for using their brains and standing up for positive change. The only thing that concerns me it whether or not people are gonna be responsible enough with their newly realized personal power without the old fear based God restrictions people have been used to. Actually, on second thought I think that people will feel a sense of importance and responsibility knowing that they are somebody and have some control over their lives, instead of just another sinner who doesn't deserve to live.

If living without dependence on a false deity is easy, fulfilling, and positive is hatred, then they hate god. If striving to be a positive influence in the world, and thinking that each person can - and must - find their own meaning of life is hatred, then they hate god. If being thinkers, philosophers, and thriving on discussion and diversity is hating god, then they hate go. If being proud, happy, and most of all, free is hating god, then they hate god. If you still think they hate god, compare that to your original sin and Hell

God is an imaginary friend for adults.
-
because, especially in America, people try to force their beliefs on people who do not believe. Like their views on abortion and gay marriage. and some may hate God himself because if he exists and is all-loving, all knowing, and omnipotent, why is there so much suffering in the world?
-
What evidence do you have to support the claim on which your question is based?
-
people hate what they ignore.
-
Seems to be more indifference than hate. The hate appears to emanate from the alleged followers of Christ.
-
Because people are tired of a system that doesn't work. We want freedom from tyranny. We would rather burn the christ alive than to slavishly worship him and give up our personal power. We are tired of rules that have no purpose other than to control us. The human race is deserving of better and naturally needs to overcome the limitations of "God" and evolve into our true potential.
