  • I think it's extremely important what the world thinks of us in a political standpoint. That's why I think that this coming election is going to be so very very important to the American people. We need to choose very very carefully who we put in our office. Theres nothing we can do about Bush now but we can sure as heck do something about the next president.
  • It probably goes back further than that - but it's got worse
  • It bothers me greatly. For nearly eight years, I have watched GW Bush systematically destroy the US and our reputation abroad. Needless wars and a seemingly complete misunderstanding on Bush's part of affective domestic and foreign policy have reduced the United States to little more than an ineffective global laughing stock. I can only hope that our next president will be able to repair the damage.
  • I think it says a lot about the rest of the world if they would base there opinion of an entire country of different types of people on one man. Let alone the fact that they don't even know the man. All they know is what they see and hear from the media. I'm not a big fan of communism, but I don't hold against people who live in communist countries.
  • the america they have a dim view of is the same one i have a dim view of...this nation is close to becoming a fascist dictatorship... it bothers me that bush is in office, too...he didn't even win the popular vote in 2000... http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0876793.html henry paulson, bush's pick for treasury secy., was trying to use a "crisis" he personally made millions upon millions of dollars from (he is still a stockholder in goldman sachs, which made $4 billion profit in 2007 betting AGAINST the economy, more specifically, betting that the sub-prime market would collapse), then suddenly appeared before congress asking for a blank check (so that they couldn't touch him) and (in section 8 of his proposal) asked to be above the constitution (no courts could hear cases against the "paulson act")...if congress had caved to his pressure (he needed "immediate" action, remember) and passed the paulson act, as it was presented, he would have complete control of the nation's economy without having to answer to anyone and we would now be under a totalitarian dictatorship... http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Investing/Extra/HowGoldmanProfitedFromSubprimeMeltdown.aspx?page=all http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Blotter/story?id=5891663&page=1 http://www.economicpopulist.org/?q=content/text-bail-out-act-congress-take-action-now no one yet has told me any reason why this isn't sedition against the constitution and american government... one more quick note, bush's grandfather, prescott bush, had his bank's assests frozen by the federal govt. in 1942 for funding the fascist nazi regime... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,100474,00.html the rest of the world gets more unbiased media reporting on what's going on here than we do...so it's no surprise that they think we're a bunch of clueless morons... (videos show two americans standing up for freedom...video 1 shows ron paul calling fed. reserve chairman bernanke out for ignoring constitution rights by supporting the paulson act...video 2 shows richard shelby coming out of the white house after apparently being thrown out of the meeting for telling them they should consult economics experts...)
  • If your watching a show about Britney Spears and they tell you things like she's crazy or such there's a high chance you believe it.Yes,media does have a lot to do with it.We need to show them how kick ass we were when we dropped the bomb.Get that America back!Get there respect!
  • No, it doesn't bother me. The US has earned it
  • It doesn't bother me at all what they think.
  • The world always had a dim view of the US before President Bush.
  • It ain't since Bush. It has been since American's have pushed their collective noses into everyone's business.
  • The people in the world I agree have a dim view of the U.S....It is somewhat earned.Only a fool would think otherwise. Is up to those that live in whatever country to form thier opinions.I do know if one tries. Can find things I for example dont like about many countries of the world. It might rankle Me some.I wont lose sleep over it.Or what others think of Americans that travel and or try to change them and thiers.
  • At this pt I am not concenred even about my country so it is unlikely you view would be held in a positive way regardless of what it is or was, but thay is just me.
