  • just experience here. set a timer for every 20 minutes tell them to go pee. when they wiggle tell them to go pee. dont use stools or training pottys. wake them up at the same time every night and have them pee.
  • Azrin and Nunn's "Toilet Training in Less than a Day" worked as advertised for my five, and it was a pleasant experience for them.
  • I'd pretty much go with little foggy. Always use the proper toilet, and tell them what a big girl/boy they are now. You can get a child seat that fits on the normal seat. Always toilet them just before bed. If they aren't quite ready don't get frustrated. Our first son was 2 1/2, our daughter 16 months, and our youngest son was just past 2, so you may have a false-start. Always praise when they do something, but don't be disappointed if they fail.
  • I was recently laid off during that time i decided to take the potty training as one of my goals. So i'm in my 3rd week of training and I'm pleased to announce that it is working. This is what i did (REMEMBER: It takes a patience of a Saint to accomplish this) - I changed her(2yr old) into panties and talked to her about telling me when she needs to pee. Accidents happened she refused to use the potty at first. - I knew she is not going to tell me so i started to take her to the toilet. Also took with me couple of books, her favorite ball and candy(to award her) - From here u have to read to them, play little catch anything to keep 'em on the potty. - After 2-3 days of encouraging and changing tactics i ended up with this. I would let her run in the bathroom without panties. At this point i know she is going to pee then when she is to the point where she cant hold it any longer she would tell me daddy pee i would put her on the toilet. She didnt like it. - So doing this for next couple of days she understood so now she would tell us and run to the restroom. I've been rewarding(jelly bean/m&m) her every time she tells me that she needs to go pee pee. Accidents keep happening now and then as this is only the 3rd week of training. Next big hurdle is encouraging her to take poop in the toilet she is not comfortable with that but she is trying. Hope this for anybody starting.
  • I wish you all the luck in the world. We went thru HELL!
  • Make it their decision. Give them incentive and be patient. Yhis pun is intended motivate the crap out of them!
  • Let them go at their own pace. Do not pressure them. Reward them everytime they use the potty. I reward my daughter with stickers and high fives. She loves to flush the big toilet too.
