  • I am scared to hand wash. I am starting to send mine in for dry cleaning!
  • I always wash by hand and in cool water. I've used something like Woolight or a natural non detergent soap like ivory snow.
  • What makes them fuzzy is rubbing or scrubbing. When you wash them in a tub, just squeeze them and swish around, but dont scrub or rub them together. You can also freshen them up by spraying with Febreeze and tumbling in a dryer for a few minutes at no heat. It would be best to put them in a lingerie bag before you tumble them, to help avoid rubbing together.
  • I dissolve a liquid detergent in a tub of cool water and gently hand wash the knitted item. to keep it in shape I place them flat on a fluffy towel and cover it with another one till its 90 % dry. Only then do I hang it up on a hanger to air out and dry completely.
  • Hi I generally cold rinse any thing as soon as it is completed. Then use Woolite (dark if needed) and cool water it works every time. (if you are allergic to woolite try Ivory liquid and cool water.)
  • hand wash only
  • Cold water, woolite, hand wash in a sink and let air dry. If the clothing starts to develop little "pills" or balls on it I use a cheap, disposable single blade razor and shave off the little balls and it looks like new again!
  • You never wash hand knitted garments or socks for that much too............................ ;)
