My 2 year old son is about to have his second hernia surgery. Is this merely a coincidence or can someone have a genetic predisposition to hernias?

    My son had hernia surgery at 6 weeks. They repaired both sides and told me that he should never have a hernia again. They must not have repaired both sides.
