  • I don't know what it is like because I never smoked, but I offer my congratulations on doing the right thing! Stick with it and do whatever it takes to get over the hump. I hear it starts to get easier soon. I'm cheering for you.
  • Congratulations that you have tried to stop and even better you have succeeded for three weeks. Keep reminding yourself about the benefits not only health but personal, smell, taste and non-addiction. Each day becomes easier, I have stopped now for exactly 14 weeks and find it easy. Search the Internet for articles or pictures which will keep from stop smoking. Listen to your body which will tell you how great it feels... Keep congratulating yourself and look at smokers who are still fighting with this horrible drug ! The decision should be quite easy.
  • Well done. I quit 10 years ago and so did my partner. We have not touched a cigarette since. A daily exercise routine helped us tremendously and almost replaced the smoking. Remembering that each moment of craving will pass and not worrying about how bad tempered or uptight one might get. It's all part of the giving up process. Good luck. If you have got this far, I am sure your success will continue. It gets much easier as time passes I can assure you.
  • I just want to congratulate you. My grandfather died a long slow painful death at the hands of lung cancer, my grandmother died a highly unpleasant death due to emphysema, and my father is currently dying of lung cancer and he's far younger than they ever were. So yes, you better believe it does bother me. I've seen first hand what it does to people and it's a complete nightmare. I wouldn't wish that upon my worse enemy. It's AWESOME that you've decided to let it go, and especially before it's too late. You are doing the right thing. Keep it up.
