I have never heard any Catholic say this, so I would say that the person who posted this is wrong. The idea of praying to Mary and the saints is just like asking your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for/with you to Christ. I have had more than one priest and more than one nun tell me that, I have never heard any religious (vocation) individual say that Jesus is mad.

Historian Will Durant, who was I think Catholic, wrote in Vol. IV of The Story of Civilization, pp 746-747 that the Church first opposed the increasing focus on Mary--but as their severe preaching transformed Jesus from a loving Savior into a fearsome Judge, the common people transformed Mary into a sort of savior. Life back then was incredibly harsh, dangerous, fearful, and difficult, and the poor, overworked, underfed, sickly, short-lived and oppressed common people badly needed someone important in heaven who loved them and would give them some help. When the Church deprived Jesus of his proper role as the Savior who children loved, women revered and men dropped everything to follow, that vacuum had to be filled, and Mary was elevated to that position. The Reformation was intended to give Jesus his job back, and I personally believe that Mary is relieved that so many millions no longer pray to her but to him only.

"you have to pray to different saints and Mary, Jesus' mother so that they can calm Jesus." That is absolutely ridiculous. See my comments for verses to back this up.

However said this knows nothing about Catholicism or is saying this just to get people to dislike Catholics more by giving falsehoods about the faith. Catholics masses revovle around Jesus. We belive that Mary is Jesus's mother, and Jesus honored her very much in her life, and she is the bravest among women for watching her son die at the cross.
