I would think that weird surpasses strange. To me, a strange dream would be one that you might say "where did that come from?" or "what made me dream about them?" Whereas a weird dream might be one where you have the people that you work with flying around in your back yard wearing halloween costumes.

A strange dream keeps me wondering about it all day. A weird dream makes me a little scared.

For me a strange dream is a dream-like dream, in which everything is a bit hazy and irrational. A weird dream is one where its all far too easily possible and totally freaks you out!
