Would they not let you in the country briefly even as a toursist or not let you stay at all?
i hope so, go do your time. DUIs should be treated with harsher penilties, in the US. 1st time DUIs usally get knocked down with no jail time. If you were to hit anyone it would of been a big mess.
I don't think so. I believe that is a Canada thing. I know about five people that has happened to in Canada, but nowhere else.

You're reading I just got a rude awakening on a work trip to Canada. I have a DUI rom CA that is over a year old. They wont let me stay. I have another trip to London and Geneva in 2 weeks. Will they also prevent my entry?

Thank you for your response. I asked my attorney to find out but his secretary said they 'dont do international". I will have to figure out who to call on my own.

You're welcome. Where I told you would be a good start. Look on the Embassy websites to get location and contact information on nearest consultates. You might also see if there's a "special (honorary) counsel" in your area. He/she might be able to grease the skids. If it's a job related trip you might want to look for a GOOD imigration/governmental affairs attorney. Were are you located?
