  • Neil Young said it better than I could: If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with.
  • It's not to say that you won't regret walking away, but sometimes loving the wrong person is just so very bad for you that a little pain today is worth the freedom tomorrow.
  • Can I ask why you want to walk away from someone you love?...
  • If you're really in love, you won't
  • This is actually a very difficult decision. It's so hard. I know. I've made it before. I did walk away and I did regret it. I'm back with him now and we've been together over a year since I first broke up with him. There's a lot more pain now and it's much harder to leave now because we both do actually love each other. However, it's self-destructive to love someone who is not good for you. The sooner you end it, the sooner you put an end to the pain you may potentially feel unless you are absolutely both willing to work things out. It takes a LOT of work. So much. It takes so much patience, too. Don't feel bad, though. I need to hear this, too. If you stay, you must put up with it. If you go, you don't have to.
