You may have been overfeeding her, simply. That is why free feeding hay is such a good idea and not feeding pellets which are designed for the commercial raising of rabbits and not the pet rabbit. Pellets make rabbits fat and often give them too much calcium and not enough fiber. Hay is the best food, along with veggies. 2 cups of veggies per each 6 lbs of their bodyweight each day. If your rabbit weighs less than 6 lbs, then feed less veggies. And then don't feed pellets unless you are an active breeder and are trying to grow and fatten rabbits. A fat rabbit is an unhealthy rabbit and dies sooner. While she's nursing her kits, she can't get veggies, but once they are weaned, then get rid of the pellets if you can, feed just good quality hay, not alfalfa, timothy, oat or orchard grasses are better.
