If that is true it is indeed sad. However that leaves 2/3rd that may. Hold a good thought.

Well, it's always been said that a Black man must work twice as hard as a White man to prove his worth. Right now, Obama isn't doing that. McCain attacks Obama every other day; his campaign is consistent. Obama should not only parry these attacks, but launch attacks of his own twice as hard. What got Obama there in the FIRST place was the path that had never been trodden. He's abandoned that. You can't beat a man at his own game. Unfortunately, with all due respect, this is the White man's game. If Obama hopes to win, he'd better CHANGE real fast. -

I read some of that article on Sunday. But I have to wonder, how many of these racists even vote? One thing I didn't read about was how the emergence of Obama has increased the number of registered young voters. CNN had reports about this very early this year. Maybe the youth of the nation will step up and make a difference.

I'm white and I voted for Alan Keys does that answer your question? So far I am not voting for any of the presidential offerings...none have shown me any reason to vote for them...my vote is no vote. I cannot vote for the "lesser of two evils" just to vote; from my point of view both are not worth my vote.

As an outsider (UK) I have been puzzled why it is that the clearly more able candidate is not miles ahead in the polls. Then I came across this: http://news.yahoo.com/page/election-2008-political-pulse-obama-race If America elects McCain because of racialism, then those who cast their vote for that reason will deserve everything they get.

I sure hope not. I am african-american and I think America is sometimes a sad place. We are still being judge by our skin color. We have come so far but, yet, not far enough. With all that said, I still glad to be an american.
-
I don't think that's right. I don't know how one can come up with such a statistic, and be accurate at that. I'll vote for whoever I think can do the best job possible, no matter their skin color.

If that is true, it just goes to show that ignorance is alive and well and living in the U.S.A..

I'm pretty convinced that if Obama gets elected then he'll be assassinated by a hardcore racist. Though that may just be wishful thinking.
