If someone stood up for what they believe in, and you believed the exact opposite, would you in turn stand up for them and support their decision though it is one in which you disagree?

I'd be willing to listen and I'd be willing to respect an opinion that is not my own - if the other person is respectable. I don't necessarily feel the need to actively support or disagree with others. I can agree to disagree. I say people and friendships before issues, as long as everyone behaves themselves :)

As far as I'm concerned everybody has an absolute right to hold whatever opinions they choose and it is none of my business what they believe in. I am vehemently opposed to capital punishment but I would support the right of somebody who was equally as vehemently in favour of it to express his opinion.

Though we may have different believes and the other person it attacked for them, yes I would stand up for that person and defend his right to his opinion.
