Just to comfort you YES it can happen and does happen. It is unusual to know three people, but it is possible it's the same spirit. I encountered it twice in my lifetime and that was enough for me. If you believe them, then I suggest you explain to them, that they need to cleanse their home. Also insist that after it happens to immediately take pictures because we cannot see them. They are tortured souls and messing with your friends, BUT what do these 3 friends have in common, it has to be something?

I'm a skeptic, but give you some advice that a good smudging (cleansing as JustNormal calls it) is in order. Per my religion, which is - FYI - Wiccan, a smudging can be completed using several techniques. The most common is the burning of sage and other protective herbs/resins (frankincense and myrrh are also common, they are used for consecration and exorcism). Since I am a skeptic and was kind and nonjudgmental, perhaps you would return the favor and stop denigrating my religion with superstitious statements that lack any evidence of connection. that is some really creepy stuff. I don't really have much to offer on the subject, I have never encountered such a thing and would just have to agree with the above suggestions of cleansing the house. It does seem to be consensus that a spirit in any form is restless, and is either bent on torturing or must take care of unfinished business. Sorry I couldn't provide more input.

There is a book called THE LAW OF PSYCHIC PHENOMENA by Thomas J Hudson. I tried what it said in this book and it worked. It said for 15 minutes before you go to sleep DETURMINE that you are going to appear to someone you know AND make your presence known" so I tried it with a girl I sit with at lunch at work (and she is cute) but do not tell this person you are doing it. Well, he came over and told me, and I know kids are mean but he said; "the fag was not on the bus today" and just after he said that some other kid came running up and said, "HEY THE FAG WAS NOT ON THE BUS TODAY!" which confirmed what he just said he noticed that morning hovering above the scene. (and this kid lives far from view of this bus stop). I knew from my own experience that he no doubt did this as I described the procedure just the day before. I think this phenomenon you ask about is possibly a living person, or maybe they are not alive, but I think that living people have much more power. In the book the law of psycic phenomena it says there is no evidence that dead people are still around earth(except it is proven it said, that as someone dies they can send out fantasms which are spirit like entities that have a mission from you to perhaps go tell your mother or wife or son something, and can reason and answer questions, but disappear after the mission is up) so if that book is right I think it is someone on earth. I am not sure if your friends are drug users but... My husband was a drug user and demons are attracted by drugs because they free your mind and that enables them to cause humans to see visions. The term "Pharmacia" Greek term for drugs that were used to allow the demons in. My husband smoked HARD drugs and during his episodes I saw demons in my house though I did not see figures it was more like a black string of smoke and when they saw me they would turn into a puff of smoke and disappear.
