People have been dying for false religions since the beginning of time. Your logic is flawed.

this is what somebody has told us. we'll never know for sure what really happened unless we were there. jews have said one thing, buddhists another, christians another, muslims, taoists, hindus, shintoism. etc. religions are so old. and men always change things. or maybe they don't. but the fact is that nobody will ever truly know for sure.

the apostles were active desciples. they were killed for their activities, not just their belief. i doubt if they would believe them. it is unlikely that they called him Jesus Christ. that is Greek. maybe they called him yeshua which is Hebrew.

If they had made the whole thing up, I think they would have recanted. You are correct. But, if you look at their writings, they were nitpickingly accurate in historical details, so much so that they are used as primary document in many historical fields. Why be so painstainking about telling the truth even in the minutest of areas and then fabriciating the main stuff? They had any witnesses around who could have denied the truth, also.Yet no one contradicted them. Alathia's comment has some truth, though. People die for false causes all the time. But it is usually because they believe them blindly, not because they have invented them.

No, Designer, it is not true that their death is proof of the truth of their belief. It is only proof of their belief. Many people have died for uncountable beliefs held so dearly that they gladly paid with their lives. But they found out that Hitler was a madman, no spaceship came from Saturn for them and Jim Jones did not have a direct line to a gentle God. Try to see things from a point of view that has no prejudgement. If you are looking for validation in something, you will find it. Even if it isn't really there.

"This has to be true then that Christ is our savior." perhaps you can see that the above conclusion you've drawn does not necessarily follow from what you've described in the question. Anyway, is there any where that Christ said he's our saviour? I can quote for you where God, referred to as our Father by Jesus, said He is the saviour, for example in Isaiah 43:11 He's quoted as saying, ”I, am the LORD; and BESIDE ME THERE IS NO SAVIOUR.”
