Somthing just brought this to my attention WHY IS EVERYONE GROSSED OUT BY STICKING THEIR OWN FINGER IN THEIR OWN NOSE? sorry I had to ask!

uh oh i know what this is leading to ..its a good thing boogers dont stink like balls(inside joke)but we were told when we were younger not ot pick are nose and thats what we believe is true so ..we all or most of us thnk it is disgusting.

Its not the actual act of sticking the finger in the nose. Its what is on the finger after it comes out of the nose.

Given the social context, it is seldom pleasant to watch another person explore ANY of their personal orifices! Man, my nose really itches now, darn you!

I'm a true liberal. I am of the opinion that you may stick your own finger up your schnozz. I draw the line at any exhibit, comment, bragging or otherwise glorifying, the ore removed from the mine. In lieu of that, a killer fart is acceptable.

Because if it is disgusting to see someone stick their finger up their nose, then why in the world would I want to my finger up mine? And maybe it's just my opinion, but boogers are kind of grotesque. Seeing is one thing, but touching them... ew.

I am not grossed out by someone putting their finger up their nose...it's usually what's stuck on the end of it when they pull it out that does it for me.

For me it has to do with two things... 1. What they are going to do with the item they remove from the nose? 2. What else are they going to touch with that finger(s) and will it eventually touch me without me knowing? I cringe at the thought that someone would be digging out a bugger and then wiping it under the desk, table, flicking it on the floor and I step on it, accidentally touch it with my knee (if its under the table) or what... and then to see them pick it, flick it, then go on about their business touching stuff and wanting to shake my hand with that snot finger... I don't think so. Sometimes you get a crusty one, but you use a piece of tissue paper and blow it out or use the tissue as a protective sleeve for your finger as you work it loose so that it will come out when you blow. Its always just good hygiene to wash your hands after a particularly brutal nose blowing.
