Ok, I'm not a guy but I really want to give my two cents, here goes...
If a woman steps to a man like a man, she should be prepared to be treated as one. If I walked up to you and jacked you in the jaw, I would definitely expect you to fight back, not try and restrain me. I know quite a few girls who could kick the crap out of most guys. It all boils down to treat others as you want to be treated.

I'd try to leave. If not possible, I'd try to block punches. If not succeeding, I'd grapple with her an put her in a wrestling hold where she's incapable of punching (half/full nelson, arm bar, etc).

I've never hit a woman. I have no idea how I'd react. Most of the time, I spend trying to NOT PISS THEM OFF. They are more evil, intelligent, cunning and viscous then men. On the up side there also warm, kind, uplifting, and loving. Just don't piss em off.
