Apologize. My brain works infinitely faster than my mouth or fingers..so I leave stuff out..which is good for a "sorry" or an "oops"! :)

Stop, take a deep breath or three, reassess the situation, and pick up where I left off (or at an appropriate point earlier).

I take a time-out or I just intentionally slow down a bit. For me, the best thing is to go to the gym and swim.
