Do you know anything about the music and movies of other countries besides your own? Is this important for you? I want someone to answer this question because I need it for my geography class.

I listen to music from all around the world. I also rent foriegn movies from BlockBuster on a regular basis. Deep Forest is one of my favorite musical groups because they take native music from many different countries and mix them with an upbeat tempo, or they add drums, or they modernize the music in other ways and throw it out there for the whole world to enjoy. Of course, I like the unaltered music of many different countries too... Mexican Cumbia being my all time favorite. I watch movies from Mexico, Spain, England, Japan, Korea, and China routinely, and I have rented movies from Iran, Iraq, India, Several African nations, Ireland, Brazil, Mongolia, and a couple other Countries whose name I can't remember. I like to see how other countries view the world, and their movies say a lot about them. I have a soft spot in my heart for Japanese and Chinese movies, because I understand their sense of humor, and I can feel the emotions in their movies more so than other foriegn movies.
