Recovery.
The needles, the knives, and the masks.
The parts I don't know about while I'm unconscious. As long as I'm aware and know exactly what's happening, I can control what happens. When I'm unconscious I'm not in control... I could be receiving a third arm and not have any say about it until I'm awake... and then what can I do about it? Nothing.
The cutting.
Not having things go as they are supposed to when you are recovering. Like wounds opening up after staples are removed, increasing healing time and the care for it.
Thank goodness for Arisztid. :)
The Scars.
Waking up after and feeling very sick to my stomache and being in pain. All that medicine seems to leave an awful taste in your mouth too. But then when wakje up I am SO glad it is over all of it seems worth it
The pain after you wake up.
The recovery.
Waking to find somebody took my underwear off while I was under : )
Waking up right in the middle of it. Happened more than once.
the anxiety of the wait. and wait and wait. Being "knocked out". I can't stand to not know what is going on around me. Then you wake up in pain with a sore throat for days from intubation. Then you have to wait some more for healing to take place. It's all about the anxiety.
"Being the patient"
depends on the surgery. For the most part, it is the recovery and healing process.
When the patient keeps telling me what to do. I'm the expert, not them.
the waiting, and worrying. Once they gave me the shot, I was fine :)
The bill
The part where they removed the wrong limb............
pain... I am pain phobic.
I hate the waiting for it. The waiting is the worst part !!
The not knowing if you're gonna wake up would be the big downer for me. lol.
The anxiety before
when the scalpal cuts the skin!!! blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i cant even stand to watch it on tv much less real life!!!
Pain afterwards.
The part where it hurts.
Anything having to do with hospitals...;)
