  • When they like have only 2 brain cells left. On a serious note, interest may have been lost or set person may just need to take a break.
  • Because they didn't want to. But I suppose this holds true for any user. :)
  • Could have something to do with the reaction of those that answered. You see my friend, many of us do not seek for answers but rather reaction and acceptance from others. Most of the questions asked we know the answers to but are either looking for a different point of view or a reason to fit in. We all yearn to be heard and to see people listening to us. The ratings mean so much not because they are points but because the reaction level. 60 people answer and 300 points awarded you feel like people like you. one person answers and -10 points and you feel everyone hates you. Anywhere in between will allow us to see the reaction from others will effect how many of us will participate.
  • Poor responses to previous questions Concerns with 'fun' questions being taken too seriously Not wanting to be judged No ideas for questions
  • Boredom. It's been one of the major factors why a lot of people have threatened to leave. Now and then, the questions just lose their lustre, become tedious and repetitive. The answers are too serious or banal and there's no 'fun' any more. The life goes out of it. I've only been here a few months, and I've noticed it. The ABer would have to leave *then* though; he's know that if you stick around for a couple more weeks it'll pick up again, and you'll latch on to a new thread that'll catch your attention - and you're captured again! Welcome the the Hotel AnswerBag :-)
  • Because they are providing answers and comments instead.
  • Any good reason would be hard to determine. I suspect there might be different reasons based on personal experience. I can come up with a couple that might apply to me, but not others. My personal favorite is: the well has run dry.
