While I wish I knew what "LDR" means, I think you would be wise to wait it out a bit more so that he will open up without your prodding. If that is not your way of doing things, just ask him, but make sure you time it right.

if two people are meant to be together then, they'll end up together eventually... i have learned from hanging with guys that they are opening about there feelings and they are very honest about there feelings so be frank with him and just flat out ask him ...what's the deal? can we make this or not? do you want to give it other try

I totally understand. I went away to school in another state last year and my boyfriend (or ex now) and I went through a really difficult time trying to make it work. We both cared about each other too much to not be together but being so far from someone with no physical comfort really puts a strain on a relationship. I agree that you need to be upfront with him. When he says in the future, you need to ask if he wants to continue to try and work through this. Especially since if you don't talk or communicate anymore, there might not be a future. Leaving you hanging wondering if he will come back is unfair. Just talk to him, perhaps if you share your feelings on the subject, he'll start to share his again. Either way, you'll know where you stand.
