  • Dont be scared off by the upcoming wintry season. Running in winter can be invigorating and more peaceful than the summer. As long as you have done some running, and not starting out cold, try to plan out where you will find the roads plowed, determine the length (distance) of your desire run and just do it. In the cold weather, stretching before and after is even more important than before, and if you dont do this, you will suffer sooner or later. Nest you have to dress for the weather. Wintry weather means layers, it does not mean a heavy coat, or as you see some weekend warriors, just a shirt. You may also want to try more of a cross training show rather than a plain running shoe as it will give you a bit more traction and stability. In slippery weather , dont go. When it gets frigid, dont go. You see these nuts out there when it is 20 degrees or colder, and all they are doingis causing havoc for their body. You dont need to be nut about it. What you will find fun is taking shorter runs when the temps are moderate, and snow slightly falling at night. Get some reflective tape and enjoy it. Best of running to you.
