  • The deductible comes out of the check they send you. Say their inspector decides your damages are $1,000, but your deductable is $250. That means your check will only be the difference between the two or $750.00. You pay for the repairs as you can afford them, that's between you and the repair man.
  • Yes. You should be able to get it worked out that the deductible is taken out of your benefit amount. If your damages are $22,000 dollars, for instance, and your deductible is $1,000, the deductible comes out of your check. You go ahead and get most of the repairs done, and either work it out with the contractor to embellish the estimate by $1,000(which they will without being told) or simply leave the least important repairs for last, and take care of them out of pocket at a later time. Sorry for you trouble. Good luck.
  • Well if you are in East of 59 in Harris county your deductible is a mandatory 3% like ours. All of us out here have a minimum deductible of $3200. it is a little outrages to assume all of us can afford this and still do repairs to our home. The answers I have recieved are not good. We do need help.
