Argentine tango is very different than ballroom tango. It is a close and intimate dance. Not the out there, broad frame open style. There are many types of Tango in Argentina. The most common is milonga style, which is the close embrace, small steps. They have developed this style because the dance floor can be very crowded. As many as 200 or 250 people will be on the floor at one time and this could be Tuesday or Wednesday night utill 3 or 4 am. Other styles include salon, a mix of close and open and nuevo, generally the style you would see in those hot tango stage shows. Yes I know how to tango like Argentinians and I have a love hate relationship with lady tango. I have also danced ballroom and latin for 10 years.

Nope. Argentinian Tango is very difficult and requires a true commitment. I'm having too much fun with the others to give them up for this one
