We use the deck railing and bench to feed our birds. They gather outside the window of our breakfast nook.

I do but they end up being squirrel feeders. I don't mind, though. I like to feed them, too.

Every other day, my wife or i take out the bird seed to feed our cardinals. these birds are very educated. when they become hungry and there is no food, they fly to the windows and they sing. they want their voices(chirps)to be heard.

We have had a family of cardinals for many years. we love it, they just brighten the day.

Just starlings around here, they are crappy birds. I am sure they serve a purpose, but much like a mouse with wings to me.

My 2 and 3 year old make those pinecones covered with peanut butter and then rolled in seed. They have so much fun making them, hanging them and watching the bird eat from them. Very fun activity!

But - do not forget to leave out clean water for the little birdies too!!

My back porch is the size of a postage stamp. If I fed the bird there, I would have a postage stamp sized tract of property covered in bird poop.

I take my unwanted and stale bread to a big parking lot and let the "sea gulls" swarm around me. It's so cool, I feel like the Pied Piper of birds. One day they will take a dump on me. :-)

No, I am on the 16th floor of a condo development. We do get a few barn swallows??--small, reddish with a beautiful song that stop by the fountain and garden occasionally...I wish I could entice them to stay..but I am not even sure what they eat.

We have bird feeders of all types all around our home. We feed year round. We've got suet feeders and seed feeders, some thistle ones. We have platform feeders with corn and other big grains. We feed the geese and ducks that visit our pond. We're trying to grow some grasses and plants that both the waterfowl and the turkeys will enjoy. We enjoy all feathered visitors except maybe hoards of grackles and cowbirds.

Yes. I love the birds. Peanuts and hanging fat balls, scraps of anything really. But I feed them only during the early daylight hours so as not to encourage nightime rats and mice.

I have two bird feeders in my garden. Love watching birds. At times have sea-gulls come too. My neighbour bakes fresh bread for the birds, amazingly he asks his wife to boil rice or pop-corns for the birds. I think his passion for birds was contagious as I followed him too.

I moved to a old farmhouse, the people took their pheasants but left some wild type of chicken. I assume they are wild because they can fly the length of a football field when startled. We feed them, and also feed the "rock" pigeons, and the homeless cats and bunnies dropped off at night. Most of the birds that feed here are the common finch, robins, and bluejays, however you do see many other species of birds jioning it.

Absolutely!!! Everyday! We are loaded with all types of birds. We even heat the water in winter for them. We do, however, feed the hawks too, inadvertantly. They scoop up a dove from time to time.....only down side to feeding.
