What's up with an anonymous -5 DR for a question about seasonal BBQ'ing?
I never "pack it in." I live on the West Coast. Packing it in never becomes necessary. Where I live, near Seattle, there is almost EXACTLY one snow storm a year and that usually equates to two inches of snow max which has all disappeared within 24 hours, usually not enough time for the kids to get two sledding events out of it.
Well, I live in Arizona and we pretty much grill year-round. Our grill is right outside the backdoor and we use it at least 4-5 times a week. Even if it's cold out, which around here isn't really THAT bad, I still grill by just throwing our food on it, coming back inside, flipping the food once, wait 10 minutes and take it off.
NEVER, I BBQ all year.
I barbecue in a blizzard. Really, I do. Neighbors think I'm nuts -- and the barbecuing doesn't help change their opinion.
We barbecue all year round here in the sunny Canary Islands.
End of September.
I live in Arizona so depending on the weather, my family may BBQ all the way into November and then retire the grill until mid-February
it hasnt been out this year as it hasnt stopped raining.:)
In live in Cali - a warmer state - but us chickens pack it up for a bout 3 months - then bring it one. We also always have beer on ice - must with the hubby!
Never... we barbecued this winter in 10 degrees! We also smoked ribs several times:)

Agreed with most. I dont pack it in! Year round baby!
When my dislike of the cold overcomes my love of barbecued burgers. :-)
If there is too much snow for me to get to our raised pit, then it's wait until we can shovel the snow or for springtime. LOL!!!
BBQ season is never over.
I can pretty much BBq all year long down here in Florida.
To be honest, I would much rather bbq in the winter.
When ice forms on my wiener
We BBQ regardless of the weather. Our BBQ is under cover and gas powered so we can spark it up without any problems even when the temp drops to -20C.
At first frost, usually late October here.
It's a great place to warm up at in the middle of a Northeaster!!
We cook on the grill with wood all year round.
I live in Southern California now, so the weather is never a factor in grilling. But I am from Wisconsin, and many people stop when the first snow falls, or maybe at Thanksgiving. I grilled all year there too, but I was kinda weird. one year in college, we never had the gas in our house turned on, and we had a gas oven, so we grilled all year just because. grilled pizza, omelets, cookies, whatever! (cakes didn't turn out too good).
gone rusty with all the rain lol
I am an all year BBQ'er. When I lived in maine me and my brother worked the third Shift and would go home and cook steaks for breakfast in about three feet of snow.
Last New Year's Eve we cooked a standing pork rib roast (with pecan smoke) on the Weber in 10 degree F weather... So never.
it stays in use all year round...

at my mother-in-laws next door where the BBQ goes on mostly the uncle set up a really neat area so he can pretty much do it yr round now, we both live in mobile homes, but on theirs he took at window out of the living room, made into a doorway, installed nice door. Now you walk out onto a nice covered deck with sidling windows around it, has steps on one end and a ramp the other. In the cooking area there is a regular cook stove, sink, refrigerator, medium size BBQ and then other side of deck is the large BBQ for when whole family come to visit. 2 picnic tables and ceiling fans, so if is warm you have fans, real hot open door and have cool air for house.
This way you also can cook in oven out side instead of heating house up on hot days too.
In my county we call it a 'braai' and I cook all year round! Meat tastes best on an open flame! why wait 6 months to do it?
Even though it gets really cold here in Ohio, I've been known to open up the garage and fire up some coals in the winter.
Here in Michigan we BBQ all year long on the deck. We even use the grill for the Thanksgiving Turkey! (Brine soaked and then hickory smoked) After one very cold thanksgiving (about 20 Deg F) I modified the grill to give the two outer burners more "Juice" so we could keep the required temp. I just shovel a path to the grill, knock the snow off of it, take off the cover and fire it up!
When and if we BBQ, we tend to do it in April, May, late September and October. It is just too hot to cook outside in the summer and too wet in the winter.
Sometimes we are warm into October, so usually not until late October. I'd BBQ more if I had a covered patio.
we BBQ all year round in the snow!!
I'm an all-weather BBQer. One time, I had to dig the grill out of 6 feet of snow and start cooking.
Never The grill is right out the back door.

I don't ever pack it in. I BBQ all year long. But that is easy to do in Southern California. I will put on a coat and BBQ in the Rain.
