Why do celebrities have dummy spits when someone tries to take their photo?

Not all of them. And in fairness, a good 30% of the people I know would smash my camera if I tried to take a picture of them. I think this is an unfair stereotype.

Some of the more silly ones do, but most do not. Maybe the spitters are angry because they are being photographed but not being paid for it....(?)

i have no idea. They wprked hard to become famous. What do they expect? It would be a lot less drama if they just smiled graciously, let the picture be taken, and moved on. Then again, drama is their business.
