  • The answer is easy; The speaker of another language, say for example a German speaker, wants to deliver the US Pledge of Allegiance. That person would stand up and, as tradition holds, they would place their right palm over their heart, open their mouth, and commence speaking while looking at a US flag. In the case of the German speaker, they would state; «Ich gelobe Treue auf die Fahne der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, auf die Republik, die eine Nation unter Gott ist, vereinigt durch Freiheit und Gerechtigkeit fur alle.»

  • In Thailand it would sound like ... I pe(t) aree-SHEN to ra FRA(k) o(p) ra yu-ni-te(t) sa-TAY o(p) a-me(r)-ree-GAAA, an to sa ree-pu(p)-RI(k) faw wish i(t) sa-TAN won na-SHUN, unde(r) a GAH(t), in-di-wi-si-BE(R) wi(t) ri-be(r)-TEEE an shu(t)-TI(t) faw AW(r) The language is what we expats here call TANGLISH, though some prefer the term THAIGLISH. *NOTE, k, p, and t in parentheses are "unreleased", meaning you start to say them, but then stop before you take your tongue away from whichever part of your mouth it's touching, and you don't let any air (or sound) come out. (r) is pronounced like and ending R pronounced with a headcold, or like it was said by a 5 year-old who can't say his R's yet.
