yes, but it is not nearly as common. Part of the reason it has never been popular is because it creates a situation where the men have no idea if they are the father of any of the children.

No because polygamy means many women. A woman with more than one husband is practising polyandry (many men). I believe it is common in matriarchial societies.

Yes there is but the thought of it kind of creeps me out. Multiple wives is bad enough but multiple husbands just seems....way too weird.
