I've seen little statuettes of him crucified on a cross.

The same number of times that I've seen a quark. The same number of times that I've seen a platypus. The same number of times that I've seen Abraham Lincoln. Or Hannibal. Or Cleopatra. Or William Wallace. The same number of times that I've seen Tom Cruise in person. Never. However, I did get to see Johnny Depp with my physical, waking, sober eyes once in France. He looked dirty and he smelled.

I don't think any of us were alive 2000 years ago there bub...

Yes, many people have seen Jesus in various forms. For instance, St. Martin, as a Roman soldier, gave half his cloak to a beggar on the streets. Jesus appeared to him as he dreamed, and he realized that he whom he had given his cloak too. On a personal note, while I myself have never seen Jesus, my father met Him three times. He appeared to him once when my father's youth group was stranded in a gas station in the West Texan wilderness with a broken down car, in the form of a black man in a pimped out purple low-rider with windchimes hanging off the rear view mirror, and drove him to the nearest AutoZone to pick up a carburator for the van. My father saw him again in France, when at the back of a long currancy exchange line a man walked up and tapped him on the shoulder and said, "There's a currancy exchange in that hotel with no line." My father walked across the street to the newly opened hotel and switched his money, and as he turned around he saw another line an hour long had formed behind him. The third time, he and my mother were cleaning out the garage to move. He saw all the junk they had to get rid of and shouted, "God, I wish someone would just haul all this crap away!" He heard a back firing noise, and looked down the street. An old black man in a pick up truck lettered "Joe's Junk Removal" drove past him staring at them, and disappeared down the road. My father said in shock, "Jesus, if he turns around I'll flag him down." Again he heard a backfiring noise, and the truck was backing up to make a three point turn to come back down the street. The driver asked them, "I got a call that some one needed some stuff tooken away. Was that yall?" My father nodded, and helped him load the stuff into the back of the pick up, and paid him the slightly exorbinant fee because, as my father has always concluded, "When Jesus asks you for a hundred, you don't say no."

You can't see your chances at winning a lottery, you can't see the mood you're in, you can't see the love between a child and his mother, you can't see the future, you can't see an idea, you can't see trouble brewing, you can't see the past, you can't see yourself aging, you can't see rust as it forms on metal, you can't see the air we breathe...........do they exist?

I thought I saw Jesus when I was dropping acid once but it turned out to be Clapton.

Mate, hundreds of times. Went drinking with him not long ago - Yeah, I'd definitely say I'm good mates with Jesus. He even gave Spanish lessons to try and pick up this girl I was after.

I walk by faith and not by sight. I have had many experiences thru God and seen awesome things he has done. I have felt his presence and it is the most awesome thing ever. I know that I know that I know how real he is and has done a great work in changing my life around for the good. Had I not had his wisdom , and his power move thru me it could not have happened. Someday I will meet him face to face but I dont have to see him to know how real he is to me.

Not that I can recall, with my physical eyes, but I’m guessing we all knew Him personally before we came to Earth. And yes, as others have mentioned, a few mortals *have* seen Him with their physical, waking, sober eyes, but I expect most that have such an experience deem it way too sacred to be tossing around like it were no big deal. :-)

neither drunk nor sober have I ever seen jesus or god or any other facsimile of the divine. I read these answers and wonder when people say they haven't seen jesus but they have felt his presence, how they know it is jesus' presence? It could be adrenaline, it could just be chemicals in the body or something atmospheric, I could go on all day with possibilities and any of them would seem just as plausible to me as it being jesus. I wonder why people claim this, even if it was a "presence" it could be a spirit (if you believe in them or ghosts or whatever) of a person, a relative, a stranger, I dunno, how do you know exactly that it is jesus though? It's not like we have contact with his all the time so we are familiar with his presence or anything. just curious and wanted to add my 2 cents.

I may have done. Jesus says, in Matthew 25: 31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' 37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' 40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' ============ That is a good inspiration to help others, and I try to do this every day.

I heard His Voice. It was as if He was standing behind me.

I have trouble believing people when they say they have seen Jesus. I know the Catholics are all into visions of Jesus, but I can't get into it. The reason is because of examples in the Bible. After Jesus died and was resurrected He was hear for 40 days and continued to teach. He had a new resurrected body then and even people who had seen him everyday didn't recognize him until He said who He was. Then after he ascended to Heaven He appeared to Paul. In that instance He had His heavenly glory back, and He was so bright and wonderful Paul went blind for a time. So, when I hear stories like, "I was in mass and i saw Jesus come down off the crucifix and set next to me." I think they are loony or they need to make sure that wasn't another spirit fooling them. Don't even get me going on visions of Mary.

Lately on Christian radio I heard that there have been quite a few cases where Muslims who didn't even know who Jesus was had had reoccurring dreams of a man in white telling them "read my book and know me" or something like that. then when they finally figured out what book they were supposed to read, they read it and became Christians. I find this very interesting because these are people who would never have been exposed to Christ in their lives- most likely- if it weren't for these "apparitions". and this was common enough that someone put up fliers somewhere that said "have you seen a man in white asking to you to read his book?" and there were responders who said "yes, who is he and what is this book?" I just heard this on Moody radio recently and haven't researched it at all but I think it's pretty cool!
